Gordon Haff has written books about open source, in addition to other technology topics. He helped drive Red Hat’s early open hybrid cloud strategy and awareness, prior to moving into an emerging technologies role which included contributing to Red Hat Research Quarterly. As part of his emerging technologies interest, he also became an IBM Quantum Ambassador following up on his hardware background, having been a product and marketing manager for a variety of Unix systems including some of the first large-scale non-uniform memory architecture (NUMA) architectures at Data General. As an analyst before Red Hat, he wrote hundreds of research notes and advised large clients on everything from evaluating technology options to branding and marketing, in addition to co-writing a major expert witness report.
